PARA SA MIGRANTE is a song that lauds the Filipino migrant workers' unconditional sacrifices while at the same time raises awareness of their plight. Because of the unfortunate economic conditions in third world nations such as the Philippines, people are forced out of their own countries in order to survive and sustain their families. PARA SA MIGRANTE is a tribute to these "modern-day heroes" who would give up anything, including the comfort of being in one's homeland, for their loved ones.
I offer this song to my beloved father who works abroad--for his exceptional sacrifices for us. And for all Filipino migrant workers. Pinagpupugayan ko kayo.
